Body
Anxiety, fear, and emotional pain can be carried physically. Healing begins by noticing what the body has learned about danger and creating space for safety.
Faith-grounded trauma recovery
Teresa Angela McCann brings together faith, lived understanding, music, and creative expression to help survivors move beyond what happened to them.

Your past does not have to become the rest of your story.”
Healing grounded in faith
Teresa believes every person is created with value and purpose, and that faith offers a foundation for truth, compassion, hope, and rebuilding.
“In all things God works for the good of those who love him.” Romans 8:28
A whole-person approach
Trauma does not remain in one part of our lives. Teresa’s approach recognizes the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual dimensions of recovery.
Anxiety, fear, and emotional pain can be carried physically. Healing begins by noticing what the body has learned about danger and creating space for safety.
Traumatic experiences can replay until the past feels present. Understanding these patterns helps create new choices, language, and direction.
Abuse can erode hope, connection, and meaning. Faith can help restore identity, purpose, and the belief that life can become different.
Music as faith in expression
Music was crucial in Teresa’s own recovery. Hymns opened a path toward faith; she studied piano and voice, earned a BA in Music, lived in Nashville, and spent hundreds of hours songwriting.

The book
Plucked From the Fire
From Darkness to Light: A Journey of Hope and Miraculous Deliverance
Teresa’s deeply personal memoir explores childhood abuse, suffering, forgiveness, and the gradual journey from darkness toward light.
Some experiences are spoken. Others are written, sung, or slowly understood through the act of creating.
Trauma · Music · Creative Expression
Trauma can remain within the body and nervous system long after an experience has passed. Teresa explores how music, rhythm, voice, writing, and faith can reach places that words alone sometimes cannot.
“Music can penetrate the parts of the brain affected by trauma in a way words never could.”
Christian songs of faith, struggle, hope, and restoration — written and recorded across years of practice.
A reader’s reflection
“The darkness of sin can be dispelled by the light of Truth. Healing is possible.”
Evelyn Marshall · Reader and lifelong friend
